Nice Post. I'm thinking about moving off my hosted exchange servers and doing everything through GApps. It seems to get more enticing every day (now that there is better iPhone support through sync). The only thing that concerns me now are back-ups. \n\nYour post is very helpful in me making a decision.

what about a shared todo list for stuctured project management and mobile enabled? Bizarre omission...\n\nRather, appears to require 3rd party API like Remember the Milk to do this which charges $25. year fee for pro account. \n\nhttp:gmail.com/tasks is not sharable. And nothing similar to tasks thus far on my radar for google apps/sites. any suggestions/insights appreciated...

I have to agree. One-for-one Google Apps beats out Microsoft (calendar, email, etc.) and the price can't be beat. But, I must say that office apps have a long way to go before the speed and usability matches the desktop.
